Cultural Holiday Expectations
Thursday, December 19, 2024
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM PST
The holidays can be a time of joy and connection but also bring challenges for teens navigating cultural and racial dynamics. Dr. Riana Elyse Anderson will explore how these dynamics impact mental health, resilience, and identity during the holiday season. Participants will learn strategies for self-care, building resilience, and celebrating the richness of diverse cultural traditions while challenging stereotypes and pressures. Whether you’re managing family expectations, cultural microaggressions, or seeking to find joy, this session will empower you to navigate the holidays with strength and understanding.
